If you have never had a card at the Mason Public Library, getting one is easy.
Anyone who lives, works, attends school or owns property in Ohio may apply for a library card.
The Library requires photo I.D., proof of current address, and a completed application.
Children are eligible for a card at birth, and a parent or legal guardian of children under 14 must be present to sign a child’s application.
Visit the Get a Library Card page for more information.
Your library card number (also referred to as username) is the entire sequence of numbers (with no spaces or dashes) on the back of your library card. If you need to retrieve your library card number, please call 513-398-2711 during operating hours to speak with a library staff member. We will need to verify some information on your account before we can provide that information.
Your pin number (also referred to password) defaults to the last 4 numbers of your phone number. If this does not work, please call the Library for a password reset.
Contact the library to report the card lost. You can get a replacement card by visiting the library and presenting identification. There is a $1.00 charge to replace a lost library card
This information can be found in Mason Public Library’s borrowing policies. Young Adult and Juvenile cards may have additional limitations
If an item is lost or damaged beyond repair (as determined by Library staff), you will be charged for its replacement (the price the Library paid for the item), plus a $5.00 processing fee.
If you have been charged the replacement cost for a long overdue item(s), and you still have the item, simply return the item(s) as soon as possible to have the replacement cost for that item(s) removed from your account.
If you owe more than $12.00 in fees, you may not checkout any more items or use Library internet computers until the fees are paid to under $12.00.
The Library uses a collection agency to aid in recovering lost materials and fees. Please return items and/or pay for lost or damaged items in a timely manner to avoid an additional $10 collection agency fee.
